Lentiviral transduction was used to generate lines expressing specific glial connexins. Immunostaining (A–E) reveals an orthodox distribution including puncta localized to apposing membranes of adjacent cells. Primary astrocytes expressing individual glial connexins (C×47, C×32: Venus; C×43, C×30, C×26: Cerulean) were able to transfer neurobiotin (F–J) while an empty vector control was not (K).
