The magnitude and direction of the following contrast t-scores are represented by either warm (right > left; red or yellow representing p < 0.005 or p < 0.001 respectively) or cool (left > right; blue or cyan representing p < 0.005 or p < 0.001 respectively) coloring. Locations of the axial (Z) slices are given according to the Talairach atlas (L = left and R = right). Differential effects of laterality were observed in the left middle occipital gyrus (MOG), left lateral tempero-occipital cortex (LTO) and right auditory cortex (AC) during VCAT. During the ACVT condition, the left AC and bilateral LTO showed differential activation dependent on stimulus laterality. For both conditions, results indicated increased activity for contralateral stimuli. The percent signal change (PSC) values for left (blue bars) and right (red bars) trials within these selected regions are displayed, with error bars equal to the standard error of the mean.|
