URI BAR-JOSEPH is an associate professor of international relations at Haifa University, Israel. His fields of expertise are national security, intelligence, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. He has published numerous articles and four books, including The Watchman Fell Asleep: The Surprise of the Yom Kippur War and Its Sources.
JACK S. LEVY is Board of Governors professor at Rutgers University and a former president of the International Studies Association and of the Peace Science Society. He has published numerous articles on the causes of war and foreign policy analysis. His books include War in the Modern Great Power System, 1495–1975.
