Abstract
This article introduces an issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychology: In Session devoted to understanding, assessing, and treating hoarding disorder (HD). After a case example is presented, the proposed the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, 5th Edition criteria for HD are discussed, and the problems associated with hoarding are discussed from a psychotherapeutic and public health perspective.
