Abstract

Cover illustration. Skeleton of extant micrabaciid scleractinian coral Letepsammia franki Owens, 1994 (holotype USNM75638, Indian Ocean, Durban, 138 m). In this issue of the Journal of Morphology Janiszewska et al. study the skeletal ontogeny of Micrabaciidae, one of two modern basal scleractinian lineages using serial microcomputed tomography sections and scanning electron micrographs. See pp. 243–257 for a new interpretation of the septal development of this group of screactinian corals.
