Abstract
To achieve long-term, sustainable success, an organization needs to not only have tangible financial and human resources, but also be driven by effective leadership at every level. Taking a cue from the medical industry's notion of bioavailability, organizational leaders can learn how to make the right decisions at the right times, and for the right reasons. In so doing, they ultimately can create an environment in which managers and employees throughout the hierarchy can realize their individual and collective potential. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
