Applying the high-performance organization framework to a multinational retailer

Authors

Abstract

The application of the high-performance organization (HPO) framework to a European multinational retailer operating in 15 countries showed that the framework is useful in accurately assessing progress in adopting the characteristics of a high-performing organization and in formulating improvement suggestions at various organizational levels. In a similar fashion, managers at other multinational enterprises can apply the framework to evaluate their own organizations' HPO status, facilitate organization-wide communications, and craft an agenda for improving processes and enhancing overall performance. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
