Abstract

Amplification without structural rearrangements of the c-myc proto-onco-gene was found in 14 of 44 primary cervical neoplasms. There was no apparent correlation with stage of disease or degree of cellular differentiation. The prognostic significance of c-myc amplification cannot be determined from this study.
