Abstract
Driven by a more and more competitive market, manufacturers of photovoltaic cells are seeking for cell concepts and production processes to reduce costs and increase cell efficiency. Many laboratory developments find their way into mass production. Among them are many laser applications which have been proven on a small scale to achieve the desired goals. One of the most promising of these developments is laser doping or laser diffusion of selective emitters.
