Abstract
Since the introduction of high power fiber lasers a fast development of this technology has taken place. It leads to growing acceptance – especially in the laser cutting market. By the unique characteristics of fiber lasers new application fields and markets were captured and existing technologies could be replaced. Meanwhile new developments accelerate the general trend to fiber lasers not only in 2D/3D cutting applications.
