      Cover: In the wire beam electrode (WBE) method, the plane electrode is replaced by short connected wire carbon steel electrodes. The current distribution of the WBE under the organic coating was measured. The classic EIS technique was employed to research the EIS characteristic of local anode and cathode. The mechanism of the organic coating degradation and corrosion of substrate carbon steel was investigated from the point of view of current distribution.

      Microscopic observations exhibited more compact coatings after 60 days of exposure in Ringer solution, due to the formation of an apatite layer. EIS spectra revealed surface films with two layers: an inner, barrier protective layer and an outer, porous apatite layer. The impedance increases in time denoting that the films have grown by apatite nucleation. Also, EIS spectra showed that the complex treatment by chemical+heat method is the most efficiently.
