Cover:. Nail/spindle-shaped polyaniline is synthesized by a method based on polymerization-induced assembly of organic molecules. The plate-like structure composed of phenazine-like molecules with spiral dislocations at the surface acts as a template to guide the growth, while the subsequent para-coupled polyaniline chains replicate the spiral pattern to grow into nail- or spindle-shaped gradient tips.
