Abstract

Novel carbosilane dendrimers containing thioether groups were synthesized. The possibility of using these compounds as ligands for complexation with transition metal salts, in particular with CuCl2, was investigated. The average maximum numbers of Cu2+ ions that can be encapsulated within sulfur containing polymers and dendrimers were estimated.
