jws-mds.21293.mpg11540K Segment 1. A young girl of 15 is seen walking toward and away from the camera. Each step consists of a flexion of the left knee and a swinging motion of the trunk over the lower limbs, with marked hyperlordosis and pelvic thrusting. Both arms are kept flexed with the hands joined together in front of the chest (original 27-second nitrate film kept at the Royal Belgian Film Archive, Brussels, Belgium). Segment 2. A girl of very similar age and look as the one shown in Segment 1 presents the same peculiar gait (original 14-second nitrate film kept at the Royal Belgian Film Archive, Brussels, Belgium). Segment 3. The two Segments 1 and 2 are presented side by side. This highlights the almost identical gait abnormality in the two girls. This video presentation has been abbreviated. The full version will appear on theMovement DisordersDVD Supplement, which is issued bi-annually.
