Abstract
Prefractal Hilbert curves are analyzed in terms of radiation efficiency, quality factor, and electrical size for their use as small self-resonant monopole antennas. The structures show better performance as loads of monopoles than as radiating structures. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
