Abstract
In this paper, we consider the field produced by a line current behind a layer of left-handed material (LHM). Our purpose is to show that any slab of LHM (except the known case ε = −1 and μ = −1) when is illuminated by a point source has infinite number of focal points with approximately same smearing as the recently studied LHM layer with εμ = 1. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
