After submitting the abstract to the ICS 2013, our statistician recommended a modification of our linear mixed model to better fit our aim.

This led to altered P-values for the observed change in some of the POP-Q points, rendering the pre partum cranial shift of the anterior vagina (Aa, Ba), and the postpartum cranial shift of the posterior vagina (Ap, Bp) no longer statistically significant.

The corrected P-values for the change in the prepartum and postpartum periods are given in Table III, altered P-values in bold.

Table III. Significance of Change in the Pre- and Postpartum Periods (Linear Mixed Model)
POP-Q pointP-value for change prepartum; gw 22- gw37P-value for change postpartum; 6wpp-12mpp
Aa0.103(ns)<0.001
Ba0.221(ns)<0.001
C0.001<0.001
Gh<0.0010.008
Pb<0.001<0.001
Tvl<0.0010.001
Ap<0.0010.306(ns)
Bp0.0020.386(ns)

The descriptive data (Table I) and the P-values for change in the peri-partum period (Table II) are not changed, nor is the concluding message.
