Abstract
Optical wave guides based on fiber bundle technology are used whenever optical quantities are measured or distributed. They can be employed to measure temperatures, radiation, properties of suspensions and mechanical quantities. Furthermore, fiber bundle technology allows for light to be distributed or combined in many ways and for beam cross sections to be adjusted in diverse ways to the application.
