Abstract
The material force method is present state of the art in computational fracture mechanics. Material forces yield more information than standard approaches like the J-integral in combination with a highly efficient evaluation in a separate post-processing step. In this research, the material force method will be applied in tire durability simulations. (© 2004 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
