Abstract
Nutritional advice that has little or no supporting evidence is still being given to people with diabetes. Advice pertaining to carbohydrate can be misleading. People with diabetes need evidence-based information about carbohydrates and to be given the knowledge and skills necessary to adjust their lifestyle, medication and/or insulin around the choices they wish to make.
