After earning a doctorate in general-experimental psychology, Paul Whitmore spent the first 20 years of his career as a researcher with the Human Resources Research Organization doing applied behavioral training research for the Army. Since then, he has been a course manager for the Mager workshops and has conducted workshops and developed training throughout the world. He has had a lifetime interest in human learning and a related interest in the emerging field of neuroscience and its implications for training technology. He is an independent performance consultant based in the Phoenix area and has been affiliated with the Center for Effective Performance, Inc., in Atlanta for the last 15 years.
