      Linear copolymers of N-(POSS)-7-oxanorbornene-5,6-dicarboximide (PNDI) and N-3(trifluoromethyl)phenyl-7-oxanorbornene-5,6-dicarboximide were prepared through ring opening metathesis polymerization.       Synthesis and successful atom transfer radical polymerization of 1-allylindole-3-carbaldehyde were achieved. The polymer exhibited potential antibacterial activity against Proteus mirabilis and Klebsiella pneumonae while its silver nanocomposite was significantly active against Enterococcus faecalis.

      A series of PTT/PEOT copolymers with PTT chains content ranging from 16.5 to 65.5 wt% were prepared by melt copolycondensation. The phase separation (from microphase separation to macrophase separation) of samples was strongly dependent on PTT chains content. For example, the sample with 16.5 wt% PTT chains content showed a microphase separation structure, whereas the sample with 65.5 wt% PTT chains content displayed a macrophase separation structure.

      Polyurethane films were prepared from a glucose–ethylene glycol–diphenylmethane diisocyanate system from the results, it has been demonstrated that a PU film containing 5 wt% glucose can be used as a membrane for epinephrine detection, because of its strong adherence to the electrode surface, chemical stability, selectivity and very high R-value (0.9994).
