A novel structuring routine involving the transfer of pre-structured photoactive polymerthin films based on the floating technique is presented by Robert Meier, Hsin-Yin Chiang, Matthias A. Ruderer, Shuai Guo, Volker Körstgens, Jan Perlich, and PeterMüller-Buschbaum on page 631. Grazing incidence small angle scattering is used to in situ investigate the influence of post-production thermal annealing on the structure properties of the textured polymeric thin films. In order to extract the dimensions ofthe fabricated channel structures averaged over a macroscopic area, theoretical two-dimensional scattering images are simulated based on the distorted wave Born approximation.
