Inorganic Janus particles are prepared by electro-hydrodynamic (EHD) co-jetting of mixtures of organic polymers and inorganic precursors and are converted into inorganic particles by thermal calcination. Using this approach, bicompartmental SiO2 particles with iron oxide nanocrystals selectively loaded into one hemisphere are created. Moreover, bicompartmental particles composed of TiO2 and SiO2 are fabricated by EHD co-jetting.
