    1. Mass spectrometric phosphoproteome analysis of HIV-infected brain reveals novel phosphorylation sites and differential phosphorylation patterns

Lerna Uzasci, Sungyoung Auh, Robert J. Cotter and Avindra Nath

Article first published online: 2 FEB 2016 | DOI: 10.1002/prca.201670020

The Cover image describes the human immunodeficiency virus (Capsid: 3J3Y, Envelope trimer/spike: 4NCO) approaching and infecting the brain. The superimposed phosphoprotein network involved in normal neurological function was altered after the infection. Changes in phosphorylation pattern on critical brain proteins were detected in HIV-infected individuals with cognitive impairment. Further details can be found in the article by Lerna Uzasci, Sungyoung Auh, Robert J. Cotter, and Avindra Nath on page 126–135.
