The humanization library mapped (backbone colored in red) on the structure of the M225/EGFR complex (PDB identifier 1YY9). Domain III of EGFR is in transparent spacefill and the Fv of M225 is in ribbon. The grafted CDRs (Advanced Chothia numbering scheme) of M225 are colored with light blue. The labels of the FR positions are colored red if amino acid biases were observed at these sites after competitive and/or standard panning (Table I); otherwise, the label is colored cyan. The red asterisk corresponds to FR positions that exclusively pass Filter II in Table I.
