Scott Berger is Director of the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), an Industry Technology Alliance of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He has more than 25 years of experience working in and with industry to foster and develop “greener” and “inherently safer” technologies. Mr. Berger began his career at Rohm and Haas where he held a range of positions in R&D, engineering, production, and environment, health, and safety (EHS). He then worked at Owens Corning where he held positions in EHS, including Director of Strategic EHS Management, before going to CCPS. Mr. Berger holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
