He is on the Executive Committee of the U.S. National Committee of the IEC and is Chairman and Chief Delegate of the U.S. Committee of International Electrotechnical Commission's Technical Committee 31; Chairman of the Illuminating Engineers' Society, Petroleum and Chemical Lighting Committee; a member of the National Fire Protection Association Electrical Equipment in Chemical Atmospheres Committee; and Chairman of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association Codes & Standards Committee.
