Abstract

A short overview is given of native and introduced pests in Dutch glasshouses. Several examples are presented to illustrate how external and internal factors influenced the choice and introduction of natural enemies on the market. The development time and acceptance of new beneficials has shortened considerably. The factors that influenced the biological control program of aphids and thrips are discussed in more detail.
