Elastic-energy propagation in mesoscopic systems

Abstract

The finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is used for calculating the elastic-energy propagation in a nanowaveguide between two massive blocks. It is shown that the energy field of such a system is largely determined by the sample geometry and surface boundary conditions. The effect of the real energy distribution on the elastic-energy propagation in mesoscopic systems of complex geometry is studied.
