Description of the superconducting state in the high-pressure fcc phase of platinum-hydride

Abstract

The thermodynamic parameters of the superconducting state in PtH at the pressure 76GPa have been examined. The calculations have been carried out in the framework of the Eliashberg formalism. It has been found that the critical temperature (math formula) changes in the range from math formula to math formulaK, depending on the assumed value of the Coulomb pseudopotential: math formula. The other thermodynamic quantities differ significantly from the predictions of the classical BCS theory. In particular: (i) the parameter math formula reaches the values from math formula to math formula, where math formula denotes the low-temperature order parameter. (ii) The ratio of the specific heat jump (math formula) to the specific heat in the normal state (math formula) takes the values from math formula to math formula. (iii) Finally, math formula, where math formula is the low-temperature thermodynamic critical field.
