1Se resonance States of two electron atoms by stabilization method

Abstract

Stabilization method within variational framework has been applied to estimate the positions and widths of several doubly excited 1Se resonance states of two-electron atoms [Z = 3–10] below N = 2 hydrogenic threshold. Multiexponent Hylleraas basis sets have been used to ensure the inclusion of electron correlation effects. Resonance parameters, namely the positions and widths of a number of such states, have been found for the first time and excellent agreement is observed for the resonance parameters of the states for which theoretical data already exist. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
