In its 30th year, the Brazilian Symposium of Theoretical Chemistry (SBQT) is one of the most influential meetings in the field in Latin America. The meeting, and these corresponding proceedings edited by Sylvio Canuto and Hélio Duarte, features theoretical advances as well as breakthroughs simulations and modeling in fields as diverse as chemistry and catalysis, molecular and bio physics, nanotechnology and material science.
