A note on the calculation of some transformation coefficients

This article gives an improved derivation for U(n1 + n2) ⊃ U(n1) × U(n2), SN1+N2SN1 × SN2, and other transformation coefficients by using a series of elementary Racah transformations. These transformation coefficients can be expressed generally in terms of a product of segments containing 6j symbols and easily calculated. Possible segment factors are given in Table I. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
