Abstract

The 70 eV mass spectra of dicyanoquinonediimine and several derivatives have been studied by accurate mass measurements and metastable-ion analysis. Characteristic fragmentations of quinone structures and cleavages involving cyanide rearrangement are responsible for most of the total ion current.
