Photocatalytic WO3⋅1/3H2O hollow microspheres with hierarchically porous crystalline shell walls and detached amorphous cores are successfully fabricated using a low-temperature one-pot hydrothermal method (see figure). Structural investigations and photocatalytic activity results are presented.
