Combining exceptional porous polymers with patterning techniques would enable the fabrication of a new generation of devices with superior molecular size-selective features. On page 2277, S. H. Han, P. Falcaro, and co-workers propose a microfabrication protocol based on X-ray lithography. Remarkably, the irradiation process enhances the perm-selective properties. With this protocol, it is possible to apply thermally rearranged polymer to deliver gas molecules, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, within miniaturized devices.
