Generation of cabbage-shaped nanocarbons using arc discharge in a foam

Nanocarbons with a cross-section in the shape of a cabbage were generated using an arc discharge in foam, which represents a gas-fluid multiphase. TEM observations indicated that these cabbage-shaped nanocarbons have a diameter of 50-500nm and represent spherical materials resembling the shape of a twisted graphite sheet.
