Abstract

A simple and fast ring management token (RMT) wavelength reservation method for dynamic traffic in multi-ring wavelength-routed networks is proposed. The RMT is an agent that can control and manage the used wavelength in the network efficiently. We show that the proposed scheme achieves a high performance in terms of setup delay and loss probability. Copyright © 2009 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
