ABSTRACT

A private nurse-midwifery practice has blended faculty practice and undergraduate nursing education successfully. This practice has provided students with opportunities for assessing, supporting, and educating clients under the clinical supervision of a role model who actively uses research findings, current practice models, and operationalizes support, anticipatory guidance and client education. It has provided faculty with a means for continued professional growth and personal satisfaction of a clinical practice.
