The U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) EROS Data Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, presently houses one of the world's largest collections of aerial and satellite images of the Earth's land surface.

Now, the Survey will also archive hundreds of thousands of additional satellite images that complement its Landsat collection and fill in gaps in Landsat coverage of low cloud cover images.
