Abstract

The National Science Foundation (NSF) would receive an 8.9% funding increase for fiscal year 2003 under a budget resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives' Budget Committee on 13 March.

Under the resolution, funding for NSF would total $5.2 billion. The Bush administration has proposed an FY2003 budget of $5.04 billion, 5% greater than the previous fiscal year.
