As I finish my eighth and last year as Editor of Radio Science, I would like to express my great appreciation to those, both volunteers and AGU staff, who do much of the work on this journal. More specifically, I would like to thank the volunteer Associate Editors and reviewers, who spend many hours striving to assist authors in producing the highest-quality papers for our journal, and the members of the Journals Section of the AGU Publications Department, who handle the editing and production efforts. I have been particularly impressed with the time and effort our reviewers give to careful assessment of papers submitted to Radio Science.
It is also important to emphasize the importance of the author's use of the electronic submission system scheme by logging onto the AGU GEMS URL: http://radioscience-submit.agu.org/. This system provides authors with rapid submission of a paper and allows one to check the status of the paper at any time. Further information about the present and recent issues of Radio Science may be obtained on the Internet at http://www.agu.org/pubs. It is hoped that authors, Associate Editors, reviewers, and readers of Radio Science will have forbearance with the implementation of the AGU electronic publishing scheme.
