 A method of the direction finding of auroral kilometric radiation (AKR) sources from board of a spinning spacecraft is presented. It uses relative power densities of radiation received on three orthogonal antennas with the assumption that the AKR is circularly polarized. The method is checked for a case of AKR source location provided by Polrad radio-spectro-polarimeter on board the Interball-2 satellite. Projection of the source location along magnetic field lines coincides with the active auroral arc observed by the Polar UV imager.
