The Hydrologic Measurement Facility (HMF) of the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Sciences, Inc. (CUAHSI), which in October 2005 received three years of start-up funds from the U.S. National Science Foundation's (NSF) Hydrological Sciences Program, aims to help researchers obtain effective access to cuttingedge techniques required to study hydrologic processes.

The facility's first three years focus on determining the optimal types of, and delivery methods for, technical assistance, in order to provide the greatest benefit for the entire hydrological community.
