Isotopes in Palaeoenvironmental Research

The editor of this volume notes that the intention of this book is to “show how isotopes can be applied to understanding the paleoenvironment.” With that intention, several key issues should be addressed in each chapter.

These issues include: how isotopes vary on temporal and spatial scales (e.g., the timewise amplitude variation of the isotopes at different latitudes over different timescales), and statistical issues (are the statistical methods applied to the data sufficient for investigating isotope data?).
