Eos is and has long been the glue that binds the Union together. The newspaper must continue to serve the great breadth of scientific interests represented by the many sections and focus groups as well as AGU's diverse, worldwide membership. To do this job well poses many challenges. One of these is balancing the subjects covered so that all scientific interests of the membership are represented with reasonable frequency in the first pages of Eos.
