AGU Headquarters Now 100% Powered by Wind

[1] On 17 January, the electricity supplied to the AGU building at 2000 Florida Avenue, NW, in Washington, D. C., was switched from primarily conventional sources to 100% wind-generated power. The AGU building uses approximately 1.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year at a total budgeted cost of $272,000. The increased cost through the end of 2011 is estimated to be $3900, or 1.4% of the total budgeted cost.
