Evolution of the AGU Fall Meeting

[1] The Fall Meeting is AGU's flagship meeting and is the largest Earth and space sciences meeting in the world. The high quality of this meeting is due to the joint efforts of the Fall Meeting Program Committee, the professional AGU meetings staff, AGU members who serve as session chairs, and AGU members who submit abstracts and attend the meeting. The Fall Meeting in 2010 was attended by more than 19,000, including 31% from outside the United States. Attendance at the Fall Meeting has been growing at a steady rate of approximately 6–8% per year over the past decade.
