Auxiliary material for this article contains five figures and two tables. The first table is a list of the glider missions conducted in the Ibiza Channel. The second table contains details from a statistical analysis to compare the ends of glider transects. The first figure shows the glider tracks from all missions. There next three images show data from the four oceanographic buoys. The final additional figure, Figure S3, shows two images of sea surface temperature.
